Live animation concert film featuring the franchise's five girls band hits theaters September 13
Bushiroad held an advance cheering screening of BanG Dream! FILM LIVE, the first animation live concert film in its BanG Dream franchise, at the Shinjuku Piccadilly theater in Tokyo yesterday on September 4. 24-year-old voice actress Rimi Nishimoto, the voice of Poppin'Party's bassist character Rimi Ushigome, made a surprising guest appearance for the packed audience.
BanG Dream! FILM LIVE features stage performances by the franchise's five main girls bands: PoppinʼParty, Afterglow, Pastel＊Palettes, Roselia, and Hello, Happy World! The Tomomi Umezu (BanG Dream! TV anime 2nd season's OP movie, live concert footage)-directed film is set to be released in 56 theaters across Japan on September 13, 2019.
Since it was a "cheering" screening event that encouraged the audience to chant, call back lines, react to the character's phrases, and wave glow sticks of their favorite character's theme colors, it was like a real live concert.
