Upcoming adaptation based on humorous isekai light novel fantasy series hits Japanese TV in October of 2019
The dangerous world of isekai adventure continues to expand, because three more cast members have been revealed for The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious (known in Japan as Shincho Yusha: Kono Yusha ga Ore TUEEE Kuse ni Shincho Sugiru), an upcoming TV anime based on the humorous isekai fantasy light novel series written by Light Tuchihi and illustrated by Kakuyomu about a chosen hero who takes his pre-adventure preparations just a little too seriously.
In The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious, voice actress Hibiki Yamamura plays Ariador (pictured above), a senior goddess who has the power to apply magic seals and who has saved many worlds in the past. Other new cast additions (not pictured) include Atsushi Ono as Cerseus, a muscle-bound swordmaster, and Keiko Han as Isister, the head goddess of the pantheon.
The original The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious novels are published in Japan by Kadokawa under their Kadokawa Books label, and an English language adaptation is also in the works from Yen Press, who descibe the story of the series as follows:
The goddess Lista summons a hero who excels in every area to assist her. He's everything she expected him to be except for one, tiny thing: this anxious hero can't do anything unless he's absolutely sure nothing can go wrong!
The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious TV anime is directed by Masayuki Sakoi and features animation production by WHITE FOX.
