Minori Chihara Gets Festive for Santa Company: The Secret of Christmas Anime Film

Chihara performs the official theme song for upcoming movie celebrating 100 years of Japanese / Finnish diplomacy

The official theme song performer has been revealed for Santa Company: The Secret of Christmas (known as Santa Company: Christmas no Himitsu in Japan), an upcoming theatrical anime film that celebrates 100 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Finland with a story about children helping to deliver presents for Santa Claus.


The official theme song, entitled "Christmas Night" is performed by voice actress Minori Chihara. The song will also be released as a single in Japan on December 04, 2019.



Originally released as a short film in 2014, the story of Santa Company: The Secret of Christmas follows Noel, a girl who isn't feeling very jolly because her parents have divorced and she's spending Christmas alone in Yokohama while her father is busy with work. Noel discovers that an organization called "Santa Company" is recruiting, and she decides to join up after meeting children her own age who help deliver presents for Santa Claus.

Santa Company: The Secret of Christmas is directed by Kenji Itoso and features animation production by KENJI STUDIO and Asahi Production. The film will receive a limited theatrical release as a double-feature along with an expanded version of the 2007 eco-fantasy film Coluboccoro in venues such as [email protected] Shinjuku, Cine Libre Ikebukuro, and more beginning on November 29, 2019.
