Uta no Prince-sama Film Earns 1.7 Billion Yen, Surpassing Fate/stay night Heaven's Feel II

The live concert film sold one million tickets in 11 weeks



It is confirmed today that the Uta no Prince-sama franchise's first feature film Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: Maji LOVE Kingdom had earned 1,724,600,000 yen from the 1,103,942 tickets sales by September 29, 2019. 


The 84-minute film focusing on stage performances by the franchise's three male idol teams: ST☆RISH, QUARTET NIGHT, and HE★VENS opened in 126 theaters on June 14, 2019, and is still screened in 29 theaters across Japan even in its 17th week. Now it has become the seventh top-grossing Japanese animation film of this year so far, surpassing Fate/stay night Heaven's Feel II. lost butterfly with 1.67 billion yen.


As with the previous one for the one million ticket sales, the anime's character designer/chief animation director Maki Fujioka has posted a special newly-drawn illustration featuring the members of QUARTET NIGHT on the film's official website and King Amusement Creative's official Twitter account below.
