As fall approaches Tokyo, the cold days and nights set in and Tokyites need a place they can warm up and have a good drink. Who better to learn from than a girl from the Swiss Alps? Heidi, Girl of the Alps is collaborating with ROASTED COFFEE LABORATORY in the Tokyu Toyoku line station inside Shibuya Station.

The 1974 series – directed by the late Isao Takahata (Grave of the Fireflies, The Tale of Princess Kaguya) – centered on 5 year old Heidi and her life with her family in the Swiss Alps. The collaboration has a new visual (seen above) with Heidi and Josef (the family dog) enjoying a nice coffee break in the ROASTED COFFEE LABORATORY uniform.

Though the visuals have Heidi looking like she’s drink coffee – something a 5 year old probably shouldn't be doing – the collaboration is based around hot chocolate, with a strawberry hot chocolate, and strawberry mochas. Inspired by the series and a Japanese interpretation of the Swiss Alps. Also on the menu are special cheesecakes, and a white/black bread set. The first 600 people to order Heidi-based products will receive a special pin set (seen below) featuring Heidi and Josef.

10 people can also win a special limited edition blanket during the collaboration period by posting on social media an image of your cup or food with the hashtag #ローステッドハイジ (“Roasted Heidi” in English).

The collaboration is occurring in the Tokyu Toyoku line ROASTED COFFEE LABORATORY store only from October 17 to October 30.
