Japanese YouTubers to Create and Sing New Pokémon Anime OP

After The Rain – a collaboration between two Internet personalities Soraru and Mafumafu – have been announced via the official Pokémon Anime Twitter account to be helming the OP of the upcoming series. The upcoming Pokémon series will be debuting on November 17 with an extended special starting at 5:30 PM on TV Tokyo in Japan.



The duo will be composing, writing the lyrics, producing, and singing the currently unnamed song for the new Pokémon anime series. More information on the song will be released closer to the episode's premiere.


Soraru and Mafumafu have collaborated in the past on anime songs, “Kaidoku Funo” (Atom: The Beginning OP) and “Anti Clockwise” (Clockwork Planet ED). Together they have also been playing Ultimate Chicken Horse on Soraru’s YouTube channel and Super Mario Maker 2 on Mafumafu's YouTube channel. Independently, Soraru also sang "Gin no Kisei" (Silver's Oath, GOBLIN SLAYER ED) and Mafumafu arranged the first OP for Mr. Osomatsu’s second season "Kunshi Ayauku Mo Chikouyore" (Bring You As Close As Possible).



The upcoming new Pokémon series' first episode will air on November 17 after with an extended special starting at 5:30 PM pn TV Tokyo in Japan. The current Pokémon Sun and Moon anime will be ending on November 3.
