Crunchyroll has simulpub the diving-themed seinen manga
Warner Brothers Japan announced today that a live-action film adaptation of Kenji Inoue (story) and Kimitake Yoshioka (art)'s seinen manga Grand Blue is set to be released in Japan in the early summer of 2020. Tsutomu Hanabusa (Sadako 3D, Heroine Shikkaku, Kakegurui) is attached to direct. While its cast members have not yet been revealed, a teaser visual introduces half-naked two men's back appearances.
The scuba diving-themed manga has been serialized in Kodansha's Good! Afternoon since April 2014, and its total print run will reach 4.4 million copies with its latest 14th tankobon volume to be released on November 22. Under the English title Grand Blue Dreaming, Crunchyroll has simulpub the manga.
