New Doraemon Movie Trailer Hatches Cute Dinos and a New Theme Tune

Nobita's New Dinosaurs will premiere in Japan this March

The first-ever Doraemon movie, Nobita's Dinosaur, was remade for one of the beloved franchise's previous anniversaries. But to celebrate the 40th film in the franchise—and 50 years of the character—Nobita's New Dinosaurs will feature an all new story!

The previously-announced 2020 film has just released a 30-second teaser, showing Nobita making the acquaintance of a pair of newly-hatched dinosaurs. The new friendship leads to a fantastic adventure 66 million years ago full of action, danger, and flying kids:

The trailer also features a sample of the film's theme song, "Birthday." The song is composed and performed by 90s pop phenom Mr.Children, who also performed "Fanfare" for the film One Piece: Strong World.

A new poster has also been released for the film, featuring Nobita, Doraemon, and the gang with their new dinosaur friends:

An extended trailer will run on November 23 during that day's episode of Doraemon.

Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's New Dinosaurs premieres in Japan on March 6, 2020.
