ISEKAI QUARTET Returns with Shield Hero Guests on January 14

In-character theme song performers revealed for season 2

A second season of the ISEKAI QUARTET anime was announced back in June, and its new guest characters were revealed as Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo from The Rising of the Shield Hero in October. Now the guests have made their debut on the official website of the anime, which is set to premiere in Japan on January 14, 2020.

Kaito Ishikawa, Asami Seto, and Rina Hidaka are reprising their respective roles as Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo. Check out their ISEKAI QUARTET character art:

In addition to the new start date, the theme songs have been revealed. The opening theme will have Satoshi Hino, Jun Fukushima, Yusuke Kobayashi, and Aoi Yuki singing in character, while the ending theme will be performed in-character by Sumire Uesaka, Rie Takahashi, Inori Minase, and Saori Hayami.

Here's a promo from October:

Crunchyroll streamed the first season of Isekai Quartet as it aired and describes it like so:

The button appeared out of nowhere. There weren’t any signs NOT to push it…so the solution is obvious, right? Is it a trap or the start of something new and exciting? The crews of Re:Zero, Overlord, Konosuba, and The Saga of Tanya the Evil will find out when they go from their world to another and get stuck in…class?! See what adorable chaos they’ll get up to in this collection of shorts!
