Highly-anticipated second anime feature film will open in Japan on December 20

The official YouTube channel for four-member Japanese rock band sumika has started streaming a four-minute full-length music video for "Higher Ground," one of the two songs in their latest double A-side ninth single "Higher Ground/Negai" released today in Japan. The rock tune is featured as the theme song for the upcoming anime feature film My Hero Academia THE MOVIE Heroes: Rising.

This is the first time that they have provided a theme song for the My Hero Academia anime franchise. They previously performed the OP theme song "Fiction" for the TV anime Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku in the spring of 2018, the three theme/insert songs for the anime feature film I Want to Eat Your Pancreas in September 2018, and the first OP theme song "Equal" for the TV anime MIX in the spring of 2019.
