The 12-episode first season is available on Crunchyroll
The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Kaiu Shirai (story) and Posuka Demizu (art)'s dark fantasy shonen manga Yakusoku no Neverland / The Promised Neverland announced today that its highly-anticipated second season is set to premiere on Fuji TV's Noitamina midnight programming block in October 2020. A rebroadcast of the first season is also planned to begin in July of the same year.
The site is updated with a newly-drawn illustration inspired by the last scene of the first season.
The manga has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since August 2016 and has printed more than 16 million copies with 16 tankobon volumes so far. The first season of the TV anime, animated by CloverWorks (Fairy Tail Final Series) and directed by Mamoru Kanbe (Subete ga F ni Naru), was aired for 12 episodes from January to March 2019. Production of the second season was announced soon after the first season's final episode was aired in Japan.
The TV anime first season is available on Crunchyroll.
