A stage play adaptation of Fujiko A. Fujio (Ninja Hattori-kun, Kaibutsu-kun)'s dark comedy manga Warau Salesman / The Laughing Salesman is scheduled to be performed at Shinagawa Stellar Ball in Tokyo from April 23 to May 3, 2020, then at AiiA 2.5 Theater Kobe in Hyogo from May 7 to 10. The manga was previously adapted into TV anime series twice in 1989-1992 and 2017, and this is its first stage play adaptation. Kensaku Kobayashi (Patalliro! stage play) is attached to direct

25-year-old Ryuji Sato (Sasuke Uchiha in Live Spectacle Naruto, Kashu Kiyomitsu in Touken Ranbu Musical) plays the mysterious salesman Fukuzou Moguro on the stage. He writes on his official Twitter, "This is the play that I want you to see and feel because it has become the Reiwa era now. I myself have no idea how Fukuzou Moguro will change to sneak into my body. I would appreciate your support." Then he adds the character's iconic line, "Kokoro no Sukima Oume Shimasu (I will fill the cracks in your heart)."
