The franchise's 30th anniversary film will open in Japan on April 24
27-year-old J-pop singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu makes a guest voice appearance in the Crayon Shin-chan anime franchise's forthcoming 28th feature film Crash! RakugaKingdom and Almost Four Heroes. She is cast as the princess of the RakugaKingdom, who entrusts the treasure of the kingdom, "Miracle Crayon" to the protagonist Shinnosuke in order to prevent the Minister of Defense from invading the terrestrial world.
She previously voiced herself in the Crayon Shin-chan TV anime's 793rd episode aired in Japan on January 25, 2013, but this is the first time that she has voiced an original anime character. She says, "I previously voiced the role of myself in the TV anime, but I seriously challenge as a voice actress by playing the role of a princess this time, so I hope I can enjoy a different side from before."
Also, based on the theme of this film, "Rakugaki/Graffiti," she serves as the Rakugaki Support Ambassador to promote the film. Details of her activities as the ambassador will be announced at a later date.
The Crayon Shin-chan franchise's 30th anniversary film is set to be released in Japan on April 24, 2020.
