So I'm a Spider, So What?

So I'm a Spider, So What? is hitting Japanese screens and Western streams very soon, and after being announced at the Anime Awards, Japanese fans finally got see the trailer you all did at the Anime Awards on March 4.

To complement the trailer being released in Japan, the author of the original light novel, Okina Baba, was asked about their feelings on the anime adaptation in a short interview, and the illustrators, Tsukasa Kiryu, who illustrates the light novel artwork, Asahiro Kakashi, who draws the manga adaptation, and Tori Gratin, the creator of the So I'm a Spider, So What? The Daily Lives of the Four Spider Sisters spin-off drew celebratory images.

Here are the comments from Okina Baba:

What were your feelings when the anime was decided?

To be honest, I was worried to myself if it’d be okay...
As in the manga, the main character is a spider.
So how to the 8 legs work? Is shaking them okay? Haha!

As the author, what is a something we should be paying attention to in So I'm a Spider, So What?

There’s a tough mental power [in the series]. Even though she has a bad view, she keeps pushing forward without fail. I don't think the simple optimism is the attractive point [of the series], but the unwavering spirit she has to move forward.

And finally, do you have any comments for spider fans looking forward to the broadcast of So I'm a Spider, So What?

We can finally broadcast the series after it has been a while since the original announcement of the anime! Even though we’ve had to wait, I think the quality of the anime series looks wonderful thanks to the power of the director and the rest of the staff. Please look forward to the broadcast of So I’m a Spider, so What?

Yen Press publishes both the light novel and the manga adaptation, drawn by Asahiro Kakashi, in English and describes the series as:

I used to be a normal high school girl but in the blink of an eye, I woke up in a place I've never seen before and-and I was reborn as a spider?! How could something that's nothing more than a tiny spider (that's me) possibly survive in literally the worst dungeon ever? Are there no rules? There should be some rules! Who the hell is responsible for this? SHOW YOUR FACE!
