Studio Pierrot-produced adaptation has been simulcast on Crunchyroll

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of Yuki Tabata's action fantasy manga series Black Clover, the official Twitter for its TV anime adaptation has posted a newly-drawn illustration by the anime's director Tatsuya Yoshihara, featuring its three main characters: Asta, Yuno, and Noelle.

The manga has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since February 2015. It has released 23 tankobon volumes and printed 9.5 million copies so far. Its TV anime adaptation produced by Studio Pierrot has been aired in Japan since October 2017. Yoshihara, well known for his directorial works for Monster Musume and Long Riders!, has been attached to it since its launch.

This illustration is also published in Weekly Shonen Jump's latest 15th volume of 2020 released today in Japan. As the fifth anniversary project, the magazine has launched a popularity poll for the manga's characters.
