Your Favorite Platelets Are Back in 1st Cells at Work! Season 2 Trailer Confirming Broadcast Date
Early screening on the second season will be shown theatrically in Japan in September

The adventures inside the inner workings of the human body will return in Cells at Work! season 2 in January 2021, it was announced during Aniplex's Abema TV live stream on March 21. Before that though, a special theatrically special titled 'Tokubetsu Joei-ban "Hataraku Saibo!!" Saikyo no Teki, Futatabi. Karada no Naka wa "Cho" Osawagi!' will be released on September 5 based on a story from the 5th volume of Akane Shimizu's manga series that will also be seen in the second season.

Hirofumi Ogura (Black Bulter II) replaces Kenichi Suzuki as the director on the series at David Production, with the rest of the staff and cast from the first season returning for the second season (and theatrical special).
The first season of Cells at Work! from July 8 to September 30, 2018 and was streamed on Crunchyroll as it aired. Crunchyroll describes the series as such:
