Bessatsu Shonen Magazine and Other Kodansha Monthly Magazines Delayed Due to State of Emergency
Series like Attack on Titan and Flying Witch chapters postponed

Kodansha announced on April 14 that the publication of many of their monthly magazines has been affected by the State of Emergency that was enacted in Tokyo on April 7, delaying the release of the next issues. One of the magazines affected by this is Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, which publishes Attack on Titan, Flying Witch, The Heroic Legend of Arslan, UQ Holder! and many more popular series.

Bessatsu Shonen Magazine was set to have its June issue released on May 9. Other magazines affected by the delay include:
・Morning Two(was set to be released on April 22)
・Ane Friend(was set to be released on May 1)
・Young Magazine the 3rd(was set to be released on May 7)
・good! Afternoon(was set to be released on May 7)
・Gekkan Young Magazine (was set to be released on May 20)
・HatsuKiss(was set to be released on May 25)
・comic tint(was set to be released on June 5)
・Honey Milk(was set to be released on June 10)
・Magazine R(was set to be released on June 20)
The announcement noted that "it is expected that we will not be able to maintain normal publication for some time after this" due to the State of Emergency affecting "publishing activities, which includes editing, production, and distribution." This also includes the publication of online versions of each magazine.

The Twitter account for Weekly Shonen Magazine mentioned that the publication of the magazine won't be affected at this time, and will have its next issue, due for release on Wednesday, April 15, come out as usual.
