New full 3DCG series will premiere on Netflix on April 23
The official website and Twitter for Ghost in The Shell SAC_2045, the latest installment from the anime series based on Masamune Shirow's sci-fi action manga, has posted 14 character arts by its character designer Ilya Kuvshinov (Birthday Wonderland), who has been influenced by Japanese manga and anime since his childhood, especially the Ghost in the Shell series.
In addition to the series' regular members: Motoko, Batou, Aramaki, and Togusa, the collection also includes the new characters for the forthcoming 3DCG series, such as Purin Esaki, Standard, John Smith, Kurisu Otomo Teito, and a mysterious boy whose details have not yet been revealed.

Ghost in The Shell SAC_2045 will start streaming on Netflix worldwide (except China mainland) on April 23, 2020. Netflix introduces the story of the new series as: "After a global financial crisis, the world is engulfed in an AI-driven 'sustainable war.' It's up to Section 9 to counter new forms of cyber threats."
Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series) and Shinji Aramaki (APPLESEED, Starship Troopers: Invasion), who recently worked together on the anime adaptation of Eiichi Shimizu's ULTRAMAN manga, co-direct the 3DCG series, and Production I.G and SOLA DIGITAL ARTS jointly work on anime production.
