Digimon Adventure: TV Anime Broadcast to Be Postponed After Episode 3

Stay tuned for more on the series’ future plans!

Digimon Adventure:

No one said it would be easy to be one of the Digi-Destined. The official Twitter account for Toei Animation announced that the new Digimon Adventure: TV anime will have further episodes "suspended" due to the "COVID-19 pandemic." The announcement comes just as episode 3 aired yesterday.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, alongside the special coronavirus taskforce, declared a State of Emergency in Japan for the entire country on April 16, which will stay in effect until May 7 at the earliest.

Toei Animation wrote:

"Due to the state of emergency in Japan caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have carefully considered the safety measures for the spread and have decided to suspend the simulcast and Japanese broadcasting of both “One Piece” & our new series, “Digimon Adventure:” for the time being. Updates on the return of both series will be provided as soon as we know. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Please stay safe and healthy."

You can watch the first three episodes of the Digimon Adventure: reboot here, as well as the original gang in Digimon Adventure Tri, while we wait for the return of Taichi and crew.
