Audition for one of its main voice cast members has been postponed due to COVID-19
The official YouTube channel for the Love Live! franchise has started streaming a 70-second PV for the forthcoming new TV anime series. In addition to its five main school idols (with the official English spelling of their names), the clip introduces the name of their school for the first time.
The five girls' names are Shibuya Kanon, Tang Keke, Arashi Chisato, Heanna Sumire, and Hazuki Ren, and their school name is Yuigaoka Jyoshi Koutou Gakkou / Yuigaoka Girls' High School. According to the PV, the story is set in the newly established school. So, unlike the first two series, "saving a school on the verge of closing" probably can't be the main plot this time.
As reported, Takahiko Kyogoku, the director of the first Love! Live! anime series from 2013 to 2015, is set to direct the new TV anime series, alongside the series composition writer Jukki Hanada. One of its main voice cast members will be chosen by an open audition, but the schedule after its second round has been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
