Latest movie based on fantasy hunting RPG was originally scheduled to debut in June of 2020
Good news for fans of the Monster Strike series: the latest theatrical anime film in the franchise, Monster Strike THE MOVIE: Lucifer - Dawn of Despair (known in Japan as Monster Strike THE MOVIE: Lucifer - Zetsubou no Yoake), has a new release date, and the film will also receive a special, two-part livestream preview screening on the official Monster Strike Youtube channel in Japan.
The special screening, which divides the film into two parts, will be held in June of 2020. The first part will be streamed at 7:00pm JST on June 13th, and the second part will be streamed at 7:00pm JST on June 14th. There will not be an archive of the livestream afterwards, so fans should tune in accordingly if they want to catch the film before it hits theaters in Japan.
In Monster Strike THE MOVIE: Lucifer - Dawn of Despair, the silence of a dark night is broken by the sound of a fateful finger-snap, and a calamity begins as Lucifer turns her blade on her former companions. They believed in her, they kept believing, but was their faith in their friend foolish and misplaced?
Monster Strike THE MOVIE: Lucifer - Dawn of Despair is directed by Kobun Shizuno and features animation production by anima and DYNAMO PICTURES and production by XFLAG. Originally scheduled to hit theatres in Japan in June of 2020, the film is now tentatively scheduled to be released in November of 2020.
