Adaptation based on manga by Naoki Yamakawa and Akinari Nao hits Japanese TV in October of 2020
Isekai fantasy fans take note: the OP theme song performer has been revealed and the OP animation has been published for I'm Standing on a Million Lives (known in Japan as Hyakuman no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru), an upcoming TV anime based on the manga written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Akinari Nao about an anti-social young man who is assigned an unusual character class when he and his classmates are transported to a fantasy world.
The opening theme for the series, entitled "Anti world", is performed by Kanako Takatsuki.
The original I'm Standing on a Million Lives manga is serialized in Japan by Kodansha in their Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Kodansha Comics, who describe the story of the series as follows:
Ninth grader Yusuke Yotsuya is practical, friendless, and not active in any clubs. Then one day, he and two female classmates are suddenly sent to another world where they must work together to battle for their lives. Yotsuya is a lone wolf and has always lived his life according to his wants, but how will that work out now that he’s supposed to be a hero?! Get ready for a one-of-a-kind fantasy story that will challenge everything you thought you knew about fantasy!
The I'm Standing on a Million Lives TV anime is directed by Kumiko Habara and features animation production by Maho Film. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan in October of 2020.
