Everyday Life is Magical in By the Grace of the Gods TV Anime Trailer

New cast members revealed for upcoming adaptation based on isekai fantasy light novel series

Ryoma, the reincarnated protagonist of the series, is surrounded by a gentle magical glow in a scene from the upcoming By the Grace of the Gods TV anime.

A tranquil new trailer and two new cast members have been revealed for By the Grace of the Gods (known in Japan as Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko), an upcoming TV anime based on the series of isekai fantasy light novels written by Roy and illustrated by Ririnra about a man who aims for a peaceful life after being reincarnated into a magical world. The new cast members include:

A character setting of Elise, a woman with red hair, green eyes, and a pink dress from the upcoming By the Grace of the Gods TV anime.

Saori Hayami as Elise.

A character setting of Reinbach, an elderly man with white fair, a beard and mustache, and a long brown great coat from the upcoming By the Grace of the Gods TV anime.

And Takehito Koyasu as Reinbach.

The original By the Grace of the Gods light novels are published in Japan by Hobby Japan under their HJ Novels imprint, and an English language version is also available from J-Novel Club. Funimation describes the story of the series as follows:

When 39-year-old Takebayashi Ryoma dies from blood loss (after sneezing and hitting his head on the ground), he is reincarnated as an 8-year-old boy in a fantasy world. Not the greatest way to bite the dust, but at least he reincarnates! Set on this path by three major gods, Ryoma begins to live a life of solitude in the forest, studying slimes. But if you’re a fan of isekai…you know life for him won’t be that simple.

A new key visual for the upcoming By the Grace of the Gods TV anime, featuring main characters Ryoma and Eliaria playing happily with some friendly slimes.

The By the Grace of the Gods TV anime is directed by Takeyuki Yanase and features series composition by Kazeyuki Fudeyasu and animation production by Maho Films. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan in October of 2020, and it will also stream in the United States via Funimation.
