Chainsaw Man Manga Shreds Through 3 Million Copies in Circulation

Author Tatsuki Fujimoto shares a special message and illustration

Now that the eighth collected volume of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man manga is officially on shelves in Japan, the time has come to mark a major milestone. The hit Shonen Jump series has now surpassed three million copies in circulation, so Fujimoto celebrated with a special message accompanied by an adorable illustration of Pochita reading the manga.

Fujimoto thanked everyone for reading Chainsaw Man and helping it hit the three million mark. He describes Chainsaw Man as a "wicked FLCL" and "pop Abara" (the Tsutomu Nihei manga), which sounds about right!

Here's Pochita totally sucked into this awesome series:

VIZ Media will release the first print volume of Chainsaw Man on October 6. Here's how they describe it:

Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil-dog Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!
