"Please keep up the good work" of "washing hands," said Seki
We reported on August 4 that long time actor and voice actor Toshihiko Seki, known for voicing the Muzan Kibutsuji in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Iruka Umino in both Naruto and Boruto: NARUTO NEXT GENERATION, as well as many other roles, had contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19) and was in the hospital. Thankfully, on August 14, his agency, 81 Produce, released a statement that after two negative PCR tests, Seki had recovered from COVID-19 and been discharged from the hospital.
Seki, in a statement, said that he "would like to apologize for the inconvenience I have caused too many of you as a result of my contracting the new coronavirus" and "at the same time, I am grateful for your warm words of encouragement." He thanked the hospital staff for helping him and working tirelessly as cases increase in Tokyo day by day. Seki also encouraged people to continue washing their hands "without letting their guard down."
81 Produce noted that they'll be keeping an eye on Seki, monitoring his condition as he gradually returns to work. They stressed that they will do their utmost to "prevent further infection and spread" in their staff.
