"Fairy Tail" director Shinji Ishihira's new work will premiere in October 2020
Nippon Columbia has announced that 20-year-old voice actress Miyu Tomita's third solo single "Broken Sky" will be released on November 11, 2020. The song will be featured as the OP theme song for the forthcoming TV anime adaptation of Looseboy (story) and Iori Furuya (art)'s suspense manga Munou na Nana / Talentless Nana, in which she is also cast as one of its main characters, Yuuka Sasaki. The Shinji Ishihara (Fairy Tail)-directed anime is set to premiere in October 2020.
In 2014, Tomita was chosen as a finalist in the first "Anison Star☆Tanjyo!" audition, then made her voice actress debut by playing Taihei Doma in his childhood in Himouto! Umaru-chan in the following year. After her first and well-received leading role Yume Nijino in the Aikatsu Stars! TV anime (2016-2018), she has voiced Otako in Please Tell Me! Galko-chan (2016), Gabriel White Tenma in Gabriel DropOut (2017), Riko in Made in Abyss (2017), Sophie Twilight in Ms. Vampire who lives in my neighborhood (2018), and Rizu Ogata in We Never Learn: BOKUBEN (2019).
She made her solo singer debut from Nippon Columbia by releasing her first single "Present Moment" (TV anime After School Dice Club OP) on November 13, 2019. Then her second single "Tsubasa to Kokuhaku" followed on June 3, 2020, ranking a very good 12th place in Oricon's weekly single chart.
