Azur Lane: Bisoku Zensin! Spin-Off Anime Teaser PV Announces January 2021 Premiere

The official website and Twitter for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of the four-panel manga Azur Lane Bisoku Zensin! inspired by the internationally popular smartphone game Azur Lane have opened, and posted a teaser PV to announce its premiere in Japan in January 2021. Masato Jinbo, known for his recent directorial work for Super HxEros, serves director at Yostar Pictures and studio CANDY BOX.

 

The game app Azur Lane developed by Shanghai Manjuu and Xiamen Yongshi started its service in Japan in September 2017 and has gained popularity. In the winter of 2019, it had its 12-episode TV anime adaptation animated by Bibury Animation Studios.

 

Azur Lane Bisoku Zensin!, the official spin-off manga about the ship girls' peaceful everyday life illustrated buy Hori has been serialized on the game's official Twitter and Ichijinsha's Manga Yonkoma Palette magazine since 2018.

Emi Nitta (Honoka Kousaka in Love Live!) and Yui Sakakibara (Marie in Dies irae) perform the anime's two theme songs: "Longing for!" by Nitta and "Mahiruiro Siesta" by Sakakibara. The CD single including both songs is set to be released on February 3, 2021.
