Yu Kinome (Classroom of the Elite, Asobi Asobase sub-director) makes his directorial debut
The official Twitter for the idol-themed mixed-media project IDOLY PRIDE announced today that its TV anime series is set to premiere on TOKYO MX, KBS Kyoto, BS Nittele, Animax, and Abema TV at 23:30 on January 10, 2021. There are exactly 100 days until the broadcast begins.
The IDOLY PRIDE project is co-produced by Cyber Agent's consolidated subsidiary QualiArts, Sony Music Entertainment group's Music Ray'n, and character content planning company Straight Edge. Production of the TV anime was announced back in December 2019 during the first episode of its live-streaming web program.
The TV anime is produced by Cyber Agent's newly-launched animation label CAAnimation, while Lerche (Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun) works on actual anime production. Yu Kinome, who recently served as a sub-director for Classroom of the Elite (2017) and Asobi Asobase (2018), makes his directorial debut. Tatsuya Takahashi (Hatena☆Illusion) serves as series composition writer.
Project "IDOLY PRIDE" introduction movie:
As reported, the project's first anime music video "Sayonara kara Hajimaru Monogatari" (A Story that Begins from Good-bye) performed by Hoshimi Production's ten idols was posted in August. The pop tune was written/composed by Masayoshi Oishi, well-known as the creator of the theme song works for the Kemono Friends anime franchise.
