Taishi Murata & Yoshitsugu Matsuoka Post Message Video for Umibe no Étranger Film's DVD/Blu-ray Release

Its deluxe edition DVD/Blu-ray also come with a 100-page booklet and the film's original soundtrack CD



Six weeks after its theatrical run began in Japan, the official website for the anime film adaptation of Kii Kanna's boys love manga Umibe no Étranger / L'étranger du plage announced today that its DVD and Blu-ray are set to be released in Japan on January 20, 2021. 


As the third title from Fuji TV's boys love anime label BLUE LYNX, following Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai – The Clouds Gather (February 2020) and given (May 2020), the Akiyo Ohashi (Sakura Capsule)-directed and Studio Hibari (Clean Freak! Aoyama kun)-animated film was released in 37 theaters in Japan on September 11, 2020. 


The site has also started streaming a special message video for the release from the film's two main voice cast members - Taishi Murata (Taishi Todoroki in Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL) who played Shun Hashimoto and Yoshistugu Matsuoka (Kirito in Sword Art Online) who voiced Mio Chibana.


After introducing themselves and announcing the DVD/Blu-ray release, Murata says, " This is the beginning story of how Shun and Mio met on a remote island in Okinawa. Its visuals are pure and heartwarming, reminding us of the important things that abound in our daily lives." Then Matsuoka adds, "The town, the beauty of nature, the scenery that can even deliver the smells, the cats, and many other things are sprinkled throughout the film. So please look forward to seeing them!" In the end, the two say together, "We hope you'll watch this film again and again on DVD and Blu-ray.  Please pre-order it!"
