The event will be held from March 27 for 4 days
The official website for AnimeJapan announced today that its 2021 event will be going forward in March 2021 with a physical presence for the public days, and online events for the business days with some events during the public days for international fans who might be unable to fly into Japan.
AnimeJapan 2021 is adopting the motto of "everything anime is right here." The public days of the event will be held on March 27 and March 28 at Tokyo Big Sight, the usual site for AnimeJapan, with some of the 40 stages being live-streamed to audiences outside Japan. The business days will be held entirely online on March 29 and March 30 for licensors and other buyers to connect and facilitate business deals with international companies as well as have seminars for professionals.
AnimeJapan 2020 was meant to be held in March 2020 but was canceled in late February due to the Japanese Government implementing measures against the oncoming COVID-19 infections, which later saw the country go into a State of Emergency. AnimeJapan 2021 will be the first time the event will be held in 2 years.
