Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Final Fantasy VII Remake Win Grand Award at PlayStation Partner Awards 2020

The PlayStation Partner Awards 2020 Japan Asia were held online tonight, celebrating the most sold games from Asia that are published on Sony consoles from the last year. Among the most sold games from Asia were fan favorites such as Persona 5 RoyalDragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and Death Stranding. You can watch the archived video below, or see the winners just under it.

 

 

The following won the Partner Award category, which is "awarded to titles developed in the Japan/Asia region with top-ranked worldwide sales between October 2019 and September 2020, with particularly noteworthy activity results":

 

  • Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2
  • Black Desert
  • Nioh 2
  • Resident Evil 3 Remake
  • Final Fantasy XIV Online
  • Persona 5 Royal
  • Yakuza: Like a Dragon

The following games won the Special Award, which is awarded to two titles, one for a game that had the highest sales within Japan/Asia from an overseas studio, and another for a game "developed in the Japan/Asia region in conjunction with SIE Worldwide Studios":

 

  • First Award: Apex Legends
  • Second Award: Death Stranding

And finally, the following games won the Grand Award, which are "awarded to the top three titles developed in the Japan/Asian regions with highest worldwide sales between October 2019 and September 2020":

 

  • eFootball PES 2020
  • Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake
