World Trigger returns on January 9
It's been a long wait for fans of the World Trigger TV anime adaptation, but that wait will be soon coming to an end when the second season starts on January 9 on TV Asahi's NUMAnimation block.
To get people around the world excited for the upcoming season, Toei Animation released a brand new trailer for the adaptation of the manga series of the same name by Daisuke Ashihara, with the US branch of the anime studio releasing an English subbed version on their Twitter account.

Morio Hatano (Dragon Ball Super 'Future Trunks saga') will be taking over from Kouji Ogawa as the series director, who said that they're "taking great pleasure" in animating World Trigger. Hiroyuki Yoshino returns as the series composition writer after working on the first 48 episodes of the original series with Kenji Kawai also returning to do the music for the series. Toshihisa Kaiya was already confirmed to be the character designer.
