Novice Adventurer Shows His Grit in LasDan TV Anime Trailer

Adaptation of comic fantasy light novel series hits Japanese TV and Funimation in January of 2021

Lloyd, the titular hero of the Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town TV anime, sports a gentle smile in a scene from the upcoming series.

A little hero dreams big (and beats up some over-sized insects) in a newly published preview video for Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town (known in Japan as Tatoeba Last Dungeon Mae no Mura no Shounen ga Joban no Machi de Kurasu You na Monogatari, or "LasDan" for short), an upcoming TV anime based on the series of comic fantasy light novels written by Toshio Satou and illustrated by Nao Watanuki about a novice adventurer who is already stronger than he thinks.

The original Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town novels are published in Japan by SB Creative under their GA Bunko imprint, and an English language version of the series is also available from Yen Press. Funimation describes the series as follows:

The story follows Lloyd, a budding adventurer who just wants to get stronger. His plan? Head to the capital and discover his true power, even though he grew up being considered a weakling. So Lloyd heads out from his hometown, which interestingly exists directly next to the most dangerous dungeon. He might not think of himself as strong, but he’ll soon learn that there’s even more of a difference between him and other starting adventurers. You know, because he grew up next to a deadly dungeon. He’s much stronger than he realizes.
