Age-gap romantic comedy is the latest series from the author of When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace
Voice actors Ai Kayano and Nobunaga Shimazaki have lent their talents to a preview video for Musume Janakute Mama ga Sukinano!? ("It's Not My Daughter, But Me That You Love!?"), a "super pure-hearted" romantic comedy light novel series written by Kota Nozomi (When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace) and illustrated by Giuniu about a college student who falls in love with the mother of his childhood best friend.
The story of Musume Janakute Mama ga Sukinano!? follows Ayako Katsuragi (voiced by Kayano), a 30-something housewife who adopted her deceased sister's daughter, Miu, some ten years ago and raised Miu as her own. Miu is now in high school, and Miu's childhood friend and nextdoor neighbor, Takumi Aterazawa (voiced by Shimazaki), has just entered college. One day, Ayako asks Takumi if he's in love with anyone, believing she can encourage Takumi to confess his feelings for her daughter, but Ayako is shocked when Takumi insists that he's always been in love with her instead!
