Legendary VA's Akio Otsuka (Batou) and Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy) lead the series
It was revealed on Cat Day in Japan that Opunokyodai's manga series I'm Tsushima the Cat, also known as Ore, Tsushima in Japan, will be getting a TV anime series this summer. The Opunokyodai created manga is centered around an older cat lady nicknamed "Grandpa," and a mysterious cat named Tsushima. Alongside the first key visual, the key cast and staff were revealed for this purr-fect anime series.
Leading the cast for the I'm Tsushima the Cat are legendary voice actors:
Akio Otsuka (Batou in Ghost in the Shell) as Tsushima the cat
Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy in One Piece) as Grandpa
Jun Aoki (Gal & Dino, Pop Team Epic) is directing I'm Tsushima the Cat at anime studios (the aptly named) Space Neko Company and FANWORKS. I'm Tsushima the Cat is scheduled to premiere in summer 2021.
