The Devil is a Part-Timer! season 2

In a surprise announcement tonight, it was revealed that The Devil is a Part-Timer! will be getting a second TV anime season in celebration of the light novel's 10th anniversary, which is written by Satoshi Wagahara and illustrated by 029. The first season of the show aired from April 4, 2013, to June 27, 2013. The first trailer, key visual, and confirmation of the returning cast were revealed, giving us the first taste of what the new season will be serving up.

WHITE FOX animated the first season in 2013 under the direction of Naoto Hosoda, though the staff of the second season has not been revealed at this time, though there is clearly a difference in art style between the first and second seasons.

Funimation streams the first season on its service, describing it as such:

Foiled by a hero when he’s inches away from conquering the world, the devil finds himself in modern-day Tokyo. With no real-world skills to speak of, the devil is forced to make ends meet flipping burgers at a fast food joint! To stall any further plans of world domination, the hero tracks the devil’s trail and takes on the lowly tasks of a telemarketer.

This unexpected announcement is likely welcome by many, including those who need some more WcDonalds in their life. No other details on the series, such as air date, was announced.
