Netflix's Live-Action Resident Evil Series Casts Lance Reddick as Wesker

Brilliant casting move revealed along with a handful of additional actors

Lance Reddick in Resident Evil

During the Geeked Week festivities of the past five days, Netflix slipped in a reveal of the cast for the live-action Resident Evil series. While six actors were announced, only one has been paired with a character, and that goes to none other than Lance Reddick as Albert Wesker.

Beyond that inspired casting choice, other cast members that will be featured in the series include Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Núñez. You can see Reddick (Bosch, The Wire) along with the rest of the cast revealed thus far in the photos above and below.

Netflix first ordered the live-action Resident Evil series back in August, and it will feature a story set nearly 30 years after the discovery of the T-virus. So far a total of eight episodes plan to explore the dark secrets uncovered at Umbrella Corporation.

The Resident Evil movie franchise's Constantin Film is the studio behind the production, and Andrew Dabb is writer, executive producer, and showrunner alongside writer and executive producer Mary Leah Sutton.
