Kaiju No. 8 continues to be the fastest-selling series from the Shonen Jump+ digital platform. The series started its publication on the service on July 3, 2020, meaning that in under a year, the series has sold 3 million copies, making it the fastest from the platform ever. Only three volumes of the series have been collected and released so far, with the 4th volume scheduled to be released in Japan on September 4.
Viz Media is simulpubbing the series on their Shonen Jump service and releasing the first volume in English in Fall 2021. They describe it as such:
Kafka wants to clean up kaiju, but not literally! Will a sudden metamorphosis stand in the way of his dreams?
