Dragon Quest's Killing Machine Enemy Appears at Baseball Game to Throw First Pitch

Definitely a real enemy that totally isn't a pitching machine on a stand

Dragon Quest's Killing Machine throws first pitch at Japanese baseball game

Fans in attendance at this past Saturday's Seibu Lions vs. Chunichi Dragons baseball game were treated to a very special first pitch. A celebrity of a different sort rolled out—quite literally—to the mound, and frankly it's a miracle the catcher survived. That's because the pitcher in question was none other than the Killing Machine enemy from Square Enix's Dragon Quest series.

After an anticipatory energy-charging countdown, Killing Machine—renamed appropriately to Killer Pitching Machine for the occasion—was unveiled. Traditional black-clad kuroko stagehands assisted the iconic foe in loading a pitch so it could fire a baseball out at 199kph (123mph). See how it went down below.

The first pitch came about as a collaboration with mobile game Dragon Quest Walk. Now we just need a hero to swing it right back in Killer Pitching Machine's metal mug!
