Netflix's New Spriggan Anime Postponed to 2022 to Improve Its Quality Further

The official website for the forthcoming new anime adaptation of Hiroshi Takashige (story) and Ryouji Minagawa (art)'s sci-fi action shonen manga Spriggan has released a 60-second second teaser PV introducing the voice of its protagonist Yui Ominae (CV: Chiaki Kobayashi) for the first time.


But at the same time, it was announced that the anime's steaming on Netflix is postponed to 2022. It was originally scheduled to be avalable by the end of 2021. The site writes, "In order to improve the quality of the work further, we will postpone the start of streaming to 2022. All of our staff members are working hard to create an even higher quality visual experience. We hope that you will wait until the streaming in 2022."


The new anime is directed by Hiroshi Kobayashi (Dragon Pilot: Hisone and Masotan) at david production (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure).
