Crime Drama The Last of the Wolves Teams Up with ODDTAXI TV Anime
Collaboration PV mashes up footage from live-action Yakuza drama and animated neo-noir TV series

In an inspired piece of cross-promotional advertising, The Last of Wolves, a gritty live-action crime drama film about a detective who goes undercover to infiltrate the Yakuza, has teamed up with ODDTAXI, a TV anime about a cynical taxi-driving walrus, for a collaboration preview video that mashes up scenes from both works.
ODDTAXI is directed by Baku Kinoshita and features animation production by OLM and P.I.C.S.. A sequel to the 2018 film, The Blood of Wolves, The Last of Wolves is directed by Kazuya Shiraishi and stars Tori Matsuzaka and Ryohei Suzuki. The Last of Wolves hits theaters in Japan on August 20, 2020, and has been rated R15+.
