Tozen Ujiie's Seitokai Yakuindomo Manga to End Its 15-year Serialization in November

The final 22nd volume is set to be released in January 2022



It is officially confirmed today that Tozen Ujiie's popular four-panel comedy manga Seitokai Yakuindomo will end its 15-year serialization in this year's 51st issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine to be released in November. The timing of the conclusion has been decided by the author himself.


The manga has been serialized in the magazine since May 2007, and is total number of copies is over 4.7 million. The first season of its TV anime adaptation was aired in 2010, the second in 2014, and the first and second theatrical anime films were released in July 2017 and January 2021, respectively.


The manga's latest 21st volume is released in Japan today. The author says, "The 21st volume is out now. The next volume will be the last, so please stay with me until the end." Kodansha's editor in charge of the manga also says, "I have nothing but words of gratitude for Ujiie-sensei. There were many fun things in this work, such as movie tickets with goods, so I will miss the members of the student council. I was a fan of Aria-san!!"


The manga's final 22nd volume is set to be released in January 2022.
