Anime Times Channel Launches on Amazon Prime Japan

Voice actor Hiroshi Kamiya serves as narrator for streaming service with new and nostalgic works from big publishers

Anime fans in Japan with subscriptions to Amazon Prime can now enjoy a new streaming service, entitled Anime Times, that grants access to a library new and nostalgic anime movies, OAVs, and TV series.


The service is provided by The Anime Times Company, a joint venture between 14 Japanese publishers including Avex Pictures, Kodansha, Shueisha, and Shogakukan. Voice actor Hiroshi Kamiya (pictured above) serves as the official narrator for the Anime Times Amazon Prime channel.



Anime Times launched in Japan on August 19, 2021. The streaming channel service requires a monthly subscription fee of 437 yen (about $3.98 US) including tax in addition to an Amazon Prime subscription.
