Encouragement of Climb Next Summit Teaser PV Announces Its 2022 Premiere

Emiri Iwai will newly join as the voice of Koharu Senjuin



Yama no Susume Next Summit / Encouragement of Climb Next Summit, the new season of the TV anime adaptation of Siro's mountaineering-themed manga, is set to premiere in 2022. The news was announced at the "Yama no Susume Next Summit Autumn Fes. 2021" event, which was held at the Saitama Tokorozawa Sakura Town Japan Pavilion Hall A venue in Saitama Prefecture on September 5.


It was also announced at the event that Koharu Senjuin, one of the new characters who will join the new series, will be voiced by Emiri Iwai (Alice Hanazono in Oshiete Mahou no Pendulum ~Rilu Rilu Fairilu~). She wrote on Twitter after the event, "Today I appeared on the stage of the evening session of 'Yama no Susume Next Summit Autumn Fes 2021' as a surprise guest! Thank you for welcoming me so warmly...! I'm very happy to be able to play the role of Koharu in the series that contains so many passionate feelings."


A two-minute teaser PV for Encouragement of Climb Next Summit, which also introduces Koharu, is now streamed on KADOKAWA's official anime YouTube channel.












The TV anime series was aired for three seasons from 2013 to 2018, while an OVA episode Encouragement of Climb: Omoide no Present was released in 2017. Yusuke Yamamoto, who worked on all of the previous series, is once again attached to direct the fourth season, alongside character designer Yusuke Matsuo. Eight Bit will also continue to work on anime production.
