Some quick news for fans of parallel world fantasy and otaku pop culture: Funimation has announced the acquisition of Rumble Garanndoll (known in Japan as Gyakuten Sekai no Denchi Shojo: Rumble Garanndoll), an original TV anime about a group of rebellious young people trying to keep Japan's various sub cultures alive after the nation is conquered by an army from a parallel time-line.

Rumble Garanndoll is directed by Masaomi Andou and features animation production by Lerche. The series is scheduled to broadcast in Japan beginning in October of 2021, and it will also stream in the United States via Funimation as part of their fall 2021 anime simulcast lineup.
