The MV takes viewers on a nostalgic ride through 80s/90s anime
Just when you thought Dua Lipa's worldwide hit "Levitating" couldn't get any better, the artist debuted a brand new music video for the song which transports viewers into the glitzy and sparkly aesthetic of the 1980s/1990s anime of Sailor Moon, Creamy Mami, and more. Even if you weren't around back then, you'll feel the tinge of nostalgia from the video.
The animation of Dua Lipa's music video comes from the Japanese artist group known as NOSTALOOK, who have been posting cute little retro animations on their Twitter account. Yu Tsubaki was the creative director of the video, with Kenta Orisaka as the art director and writer, nailing that pure 80s hyper neon style perfectly, and finally Yuta Ueno as the MV's producer.
