Nintendo to Bring 40 Minutes of Games to a September 23 Direct

The Nintendo Direct will focus solely on software for the system

Metroid Dread

Nintendo announced today that tomorrow, they'll be holding a 40-minute Nintendo Direct, preparing fans on what games will be releasing through the winter season – just in time to get Christmas pre-orders ready (only 93 days away!). While the English side proclaimed that the direct will focus solely on games, the Japanese side spoke about software. Though, what is obvious is that no new hardware will be announced!

With Metroid Dread only a few weeks away, Shin Megami Tensei V another month away, and the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes only a few weeks after that, one has to wonder what other games could be coming out through the winter season ... unless there is more sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild news ...

The Nintendo Direct is set to start at 3 PM PST in the US, and at 7 AM on September 24 for Japan. For that side of the Pacific, I guess the early bird catches the worm, or in this case, the Nintendo games.
