Some quick news for people who love small and cute things: Chiikawa, a Twitter manga by Nagano about the daily adventures of creatures that are "chiisai" (small) and "kawaii" (cute), is being adapted into an anime with production by Doga Kobo.

The cover of the first collected volume of Chiikawa by Nagano, featuring a tiny, cute hamster-like creature standing with an iron man-catcher club placed suspiciously nearby.

In addition to being serialized on Twitter, Chiikawa is published in print in Japan by Kodansha. The anime adaptation of Chiikawa will be released in 2022, but so far no further details (such as the format or the exact release date) have yet been revealed.
