SPY x FAMILY TV Anime Series to Air in 2022
Upcoming anime is based on the popular Shonen Jump+ manga series

Spies, assassins, and mind-reading will all be animated soon as the SPY x FAMILY series, based on the award-winning manga series by Tatsuya Endo, has officially announced its TV anime adaptation. The series is expected to air in 2022.

Two teaser visuals were also released, featuring both the “spy” and “family” angles.
The SPY x FAMILY manga is a heartwarming comedy set in a “cold-war-like state” that sees Loid Forger, a spy, adopt a child as part of his mission. To further the undercover mission, Loid marries Yor, who consequently is an assassin, and adopts a young girl named Anya, who can read minds.

SPY x FAMILY is serialized bi-weekly on Shonen Jump+ in Japan, and 12.5 million copies of the physical manga are currently printed with the upcoming release of volume 8 on November 4 in Japan. The manga has won numerous awards, such as the 44th Kodansha Manga Award and the 24th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. Viz Media releases the series in English on the Shonen Jump and Manga Plus app as it comes out in Japan, as well as physical volumes, describing the first volume as such:
Talented spy Twilight has his work cut out for him, procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn’t know is that the wife he’s chosen is an assassin and the child he’s adopted is a telepath!
