1st Sword Art Online Progressive Anime Film Makes Over US$1 Million in NA Opening Weekend
Comes in at 10th on the box office chart

Sword Art Online The Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night, the first film in the Sword Art Online Progressive franchise, had its North American debut last weekend and the box office numbers are in for the film, opening to over US$1 million and at 10th place on the box office charts!
According to Box Office Mojo, Aria of a Starless Night opened to an estimated US$1.05 million in North America. When combined with its US$239,906 opening in Hong Kong and its current Japanese total of 1.27 billion yen (US$11.27 million), the 1st SAO Progressive film has made a total of US$12.55 million around the world.
Compared to Ordinal Scale, Aria of a Starless Night opened around US$300,000 less during its opening weekend in North America, as is on track to make less its first film's worldwide total of US$38,256,354.
Sword Art Online The Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night opened in Japan on October 30, with a second film revealed after the end credits. Aria of a Starless Night was released in North America on December 3, with Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Ireland following on December 9.
